Hi! I'm new here. I'm a cute little guy who loves to be held. I like to play too. So far I'm doing pretty good with going out to use the bathroom and I'm getting used to the crate. However my favorite place to sleep is curled up on a nice comfy dog bed. I get along with other dogs and will even roll on my back for the big dogs so they know that I know they are the boss. Come see me while I'm still so little and soo soo cute!

Hi, I'm Zeek! I just moved in to OKBR from a horrible place. I was living chained to the ground at a "shelter" in Vici, Oklahoma. I left there with about 200 of my friends, and now I'm looking for a new forever home. I'm a good boy, very quiet, and polite. I'm house trained and crate trained, so I wouldn't be any bother to you at all. I like to go for walks, but I really like to go ride in the car! It's the best!

Hi I'm Flip. That's because I'm Flippin cute. Or maybe it's because I do flips while playing with the other dogs. I'm not sure but I do know that I'm Flip. I'm doing pretty good with this house training and crate training thing. I have been with other dogs and a cat and I like having a puppy buddy. They say I'm going to be a bigger beagle since my feet are so big and I weigh so much. All I know is that it took some tripping and stumbling to get used to running with these big feet. They always got in my way but now they don't seem as big. I love to play and snuggle so come see me!

Hi y'all! I'm obviously a gorgeous specimen of a basset hound, I love to run/roll/waddle across the yard to bray at strangers, and my ears are almost always wet, in true Basset fashion. I came into rescue with my brother Otis and since we are so bonded, I really need to go to a home with him.
I was named after a Harry Potter character - can you guess which one? Yep, I'm pretty vocal when I want something, but that means you don't have to worry about me having an accident in the house, I'll let you know before that happens! I really looove my people, so I want to be next to you instead of locked in the next room or outside. Haven't ya figured out it's hot out there? I am housetrained and crate-trained, and pretty agile for having these short lil' legs - I love going for a ride and will even hop up in the truck to do so!
All in all, I'm a pretty good catch, you should come meet me!

I'm Otis, and while everyone tells me it's a very fitting name, I'm not quite sure what they mean. As you can see, I'm an unusual fella, Dalmatian spots with longish ears and short little Basset legs - they call me a Bassematian. I came into rescue with my basset sister Myrtle and I really need to go to a home with her, we are quite bonded.
I've always lived in an apartment, so I'm a very good house dog. I'm well house-trained, crate trained, and love to snuggle up with you on the couch. I like big fluffy dog beds, chew bones, and being with my people. And I like kids, the more people to pet me, the better in my opinion.
I'm really good with female dogs, but it's takes me a bit to warm up to other males. I think now that I've been fixed that may get a little better. I really need to be seen in person to appreciate me - so fill out an application!

I'm a good boy who doesn't quite know what to think of this "rescue" business. I tried living at the kennels, but for some reaons I didn't want to come in the dog door, not even for air conditioning or food! I slimmed down a bit, but the people noticed I wasn't happy.
Now I've been upgraded to a "house dog" where it's apparent that I DO know how to use the dog door, and know how to "sit" and "wave" (both paws together while balancing on my bottom). All these other dogs are okay for now, but I'm really hoping for a forever family soon!

I'm in a foster home!
I'm Charlie and I'm looking for some TLC. I'm not the Charlie from the the movie with the candy. He found his golden ticket and now has everything he every wanted.
I'm not so lucky. I was hit by a car, and dropped in the back of a truck at the shelter, for 3 days before someone found me. The wonderful volunteers rushed me to the vets office where they had to do x-rays and surgery to fix my broken leg. I'm now healing up with a fractured hip and a plate in my leg.
Update: It's been almost a year since my surgery. I healed up really well and was even adopted. But they don't want me anymore and it was really too chaotic there for me. So now I'm back at the rescue needing a new home. I really want to find my own golden ticket and get to go to my forever home.

Hi! I'm Gus. I'm a 3 year old male beagle. I'm already neutered, have my shots and housebroken- big plus! I even learned how to ring a bell to let me go outside. Right now I'm living with my foster mom, Jenni. I followed her home one day when my own family abandoned me...sniff, sniff. Jenni tried to find my family, but nobody claimed me. I like living at Jenni's place for now, but I really want my own permanent family. I love to play with other dogs and especially people! I'm a great snuggler, and I have the best "puppy dog eyes" you've ever seen. I'm always sweet and gentle. I don't like to be left alone... I've just been abandoned, you know! I cry and cry if I'm left by myself. But, I do just fine if I get to hang out with another dog, or even better... YOU!

OK so I am not a beagle! But I could have been. I was small when I came here and I put on my BEST beagle face.. IT WORKED! Yeah! Now I am a tall long legged happy playful gal. Everyone loves me. I can jump a short fence though so I need a stockade to keep me in. I don't leave.. I just look for you is all. I would NEVER leave a good home.
